Super Quick Vegan Chocolate Cake – 30 Minutes From Scratch!

Once you tried this chocolate cake you won’t bother with complicated recipes, trust me 🙂 As a busy mum of two I simply can’t afford to spend hours in the kitchen. Saving time whenever I can, is essential for me. I baked this cake as an emergency cake for the first time (after burning another one…). When you need a quick easy to prepare and tasty cake, this recipe comes really handy. This chocolate cake is a simple but rich option and it’s even vegan. No eggs or milk needed. The preparation takes only 5 minutes, nothing else needed but a bowl a wooden spoon and an oven. Ready in half an hour. In fact, it’s so simple (very little mess as well), that you can make it together with the kids, turning baking into fun time with mummy.

Ingredients:

350g all purpose flour

150g unsweetened fair trade cocoa powder

200g light brown sugar

120ml olive oil

350ml water

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp soda bicarbonate

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Method:

Add everything to a mixing bowl in whatever order you prefer and mix them well with a wooden spoon. Then scoop everything into your baking tin (I used a 15 cm deep tin) and bake it (in the previously preheated) oven on 175C for 20-25 minutes. Check it after 20 minutes with a tooth pick and if it’s still wet send it back to the oven for another 5 minutes. Decorate it as you wish.
