Thanks to its rainforests, plants, pristine beaches, volcanoes and all-round natural beauty, Costa has over 800 miles of stunning coastline to enjoy. 98% of its electricity also comes from renewable resources, which is pretty amazing.

4. Slovenia

Despite its stunning natural beauty, Slovenia is often overlooked as a destination due to the Italian Alps being located nearby. However, with 75% of its electricity produced by hydro-electric dams, you can travel there guilt free. Its capital, Ljubljana, was also voted European Green Capital in 2016. Visit Slovenia to enjoy mountain hiking, swimming with sea turtles and experience some of many eco-friendly farms.

5. The Galapagos Islands

This is one of the most unique places on Earth, situated approximately 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador. It was named the first ever Natural World Heritage site back in 1978, with over 90% of the land now marked as national park territory. It is full of one-off land and sea creatures that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Fans of snorkelling and diving will love it here, however, there are limits to the amount of tourists that are able to visit, in order to maintain the condition of the islands.
