A Christmas Present for Myself: A Pair of Persol Sunglasses from EyeWearThese

Need a new pair of sunglasses as a Christmas present? Or for skiing? Or looking to treat yourself during the after Christmas sales? I always admired Persol sunglasses, but I never actually owned one (apart from one men’s model  in my early twenties which I adored anyway). Persol is one of the oldest eyewear companies in the world and their optical frames and sunglasses are handmade in Italy. Originally catered to pilots and sports drivers and they are not plastic, they are made of cellulose acetate which is a material derived from cotton. It’s a piece of perfect, iconic Italian design. My obsession with the black and white Italian movies of the 60’s and design pieces perfected to the extraordinary meets in a pair of Persol.

And luckily, these days they make gorgeous models for ladies. My sunglasses are part of the Reflex Edition which are inspired by cameras.
