Bailey’s Cheesecake Trifle with Amarena Cherries

Advertorial post.

I do love cheese cake, but I have to say, I love the sweetened cream cheese about it the most. So I was thinking a great, maybe even festive, autumnal recipe to combine cheesecake flavour with the gorgeous Fabbri Amarena cherries I’ve got from Ciao Gusto.

If you don’t know Ciao Gusto, it’s an Italian deli at Ocado,  bringing authentic Italian food and drink to you. For the first time, a simple tab brings together over 30 of Italy’s most popular brands, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for – and discover new and exciting ingredients – in just one click. There’s more information about our brands too – many of which are still owned and run by the same families who established them – some as far back as in the 1800’s.

I used the Fabbri fruit jars before, and nothing comes close to them, especially these Amarena cherries in syrup – absolutely amazing, one of my favourite delicacy.

So this dessert is a perfect autumn – winter treat, containing Bailey’s and so making it a little bit festive. It’s a perfect glass dessert for Halloween, Thanksgiving and pre-Christmas dinner parties. It’s fluffy and creamy and with a little Irish Cream, it makes such a divine tasting and elegant looking treat. You can prepare it a good few hours before serving, just keep it in the fridge – it tastes nicer chilled. And the best thing about it is that it takes such little effort to make! Win-win!

Not a fan of the cherries, but I’m totally going to try Bailey’s in my trifle next time I make one. This would be perfect for Christmas as I don’t like Christmas cake.
