I *might* have mentioned, that I love dinner parties! I love hosting them too, not just attending one, in fact I probably prefer hosting.  Love having friends over and chatting away whilst having a nice meal, good wine. The company that matters, they say, but I adore the old fashioned side of dinner parties too: getting dressed up, getting the nice table wear out and getting fresh flowers. I normally cook something different and new – this is my kitchen adventure opportunity: I always challenge myself with something new. The only standard item on my dinner party to do list is the cheese board. Often making two appearances: first when serving appetiser and later as part of the dessert. Myself always prefer cheese and a small piece of chocolate or truffle as dessert.

Domu UK has kindly sent me a a lovely new product which is perfect serving cheese: a clever and rather handsome looking VonShef cheese board and knife set.

This cheese board and knife set is a perfect size for serving cheese, and I love the round shape of it too. I also really like that the knife storage slides away – so you can store them together and the knifes won’t get misplaced. Very neat! It’s made of premium Acacia wood.

In my opinion this would also make a fantastic Christmas present at a competitive price of £21.99

    Komijnekaas which I hope is the correct spelling for Dutch cumin seed cheese. It is delicious.

    I actually love goats cheese but never buy it for a cheese board I always end up buying the cheeses with apricot and cranberry

    I love a Wensleydale, especially at Christmas when you can find it blended with mulled wine spices. Lush!

    my favourite cheese is Manchego, but as it’s rather pricey I usually opt for my second favourite, Emmenthal

    This cheese board is the ideal size to serve a good dinner party with a variety of cheeses. My favourite being Roquefort. However I love mature cheddar, Emmental, Gouda, Wensleydale and many others. To many to mention.
