Christmas is only a few weeks away and we might start thinking about the gifts and what to get for our loved ones. I know some people leave it to last minute and some shops all year long – but for most of us, it’s just about time! So let me introduce you to a favourite British brand of mine: British Boxers.
About British Boxers
British Boxers designs and produces classic garments with traditional shapes but mixing and upping the styles with luxury materials, superb quality and bold colours and print. In their garment range, you’ll find natural fibres such as crisp and brushed cotton, organic cotton and bamboo too. The two latter are the ones I picked for the review, because I love bamboo for its softness and sustainability and the same applies for organic cotton, which is superior to regular cotton in the soft feel of the material and eco-friendliness.
Ethical credentials
British Boxers design all their products in Staffordshire, England and almost all the products are manufactured with minimal waste in both Great Britain and Europe. The factory workers are highly skilled and paid a decent wage.
What I chose as Christmas gifts
Women’s Four-Pair Sock Gift Box – Briar Rose Pinks & Greens
Classic set, with really cute socks, I know I’d be happy to receive them. They make a lovely small gift or stocking filler. They come in a cute little box, neatly folded, just like on the photo. The gift set is available in other colours too.
Women’s Bamboo Pyjama Set – Berry
You might know, that I adore bamboo underwear and these bamboo pyjamas did not disappoint either! So soft and silky to the skin and a wonderful, vibrant colour – just how I like it! (I actually washed them before the first use as I do with everything and the colour did not run. Which is very impressive given the strength of the berry colour.) Because of their no-fuss, lounge-wear style, they are highly gift-able. Packaged in a cool looking paper envelope-style brown paper bag. They have cuffs and pockets too! I have got size medium – I’m around size 10 these days and these are slightly bigger, I’d say 12, but I don’t mind as they are pyjamas and of a loose style, so they ought to be like that.
Men’s Brushed Cotton Pyjama Trousers – Montrose Check
A staple when you need a luxurious but classic gift for husband, dad or granddad. These pyjama trousers are made with soft and warm brushed cotton, they are timeless and comfortable – yet the colour palette of these ones are pretty cool and just not your usual red and navy. Refreshing but still stylish. True to size (I’ve ordered size Large) and comes with an elastic and self-fabric tie waist. Plus a couple of pockets.

Women’s Handmade Eco Felt Mule Slippers – Raspberry
These wonderfully comfortable slippers are hand-felted by a women’s co-operative in Nepal. Each piece is made around a reusable ‘resist’ mould and felted by hand. They are dried in the sun and the colours are produced using Azo-free dyes. The workers in the co-operative are fairly paid. I’ve ordered UK 4 in size and they are a good fit for me, but I’m a narrow and small UK 4, I often find UK 3.5 as a good fit too. So if you aren’t sure, order the size bigger slippers.
