Blogger events are a bit of a meh to me (especially the award ceremonies) but every now and then I get an invite to a fantastic event and this year’s winner was clearly the one organised by Pandora a few weeks ago. With a few other bloggers we were invited to The Ivy Market Grill in the already festive looking Covent Garden to kick off the season with a gingerbread house decorating workshop and take a sneak peek at Pandora’s new jewellery gifts. It was an amazing evening, I have met with some lovely bloggers, enjoyed yummy canapés, champagne and learnt all the tricks The Maid of Gingerbread shared with us.
Certainly, gingerbread house decorating is a whole lot easier when you have all tools carefully prepared for you, including wonderful Pandora charms made of icing, liquid gold (which was mixed up with vodka in order to get the right texture for painting with it!)and well… the gingerbread house itself.
Based on what I’ve seen everyone did quite well and I was definitely pleased with my new skills – now I at least know how to handle the pipe – piping is a hard job, especially after some bubbly!
The Pandora gift collection is now available in stores and it’s beautiful! I absolutely adore my set – it’s very elegant! They would all make a fabulous Christmas gift!
