Disclaimer: I received this item in exchange for my honest review.
I do like jewellery, but I’m not in for the boring pieces as you might know this already. I prefer handmade, custom designed pieces to match my taste. My husband knows this so whenever he buys me something for me, he makes sure that it’s a something unique, stylish and made by a small, artisan workshop. Or antique, because I also like antique and vintage jewellery, especially from the Art Deco era.
Ethical and conflict free
Another thing is very important for me as an ethical shopper: knowing that my jewellery is ethically manufactured: the gem stones and the precious metal’s way to the jewellery designer is transparent, they are traded fairly and are from conflict free, legitimate sources. When a jewellery designer stands with these values, it means they are protecting the welfare of the mine workers and helping the fight against blood diamonds. Their gem stone supplier, Rubyfair, is a proud sponsor of the Ukwama children’s Home and Orphanage giving back to the local community.
Nude Jewellery is one of these jewellery designers so I’m very happy to work with them on this occasion to introduce their new Victoria Collection. I received their Victoria Majestic Black Spinal Silver Pendant which I’m absolutely delighted about. It’s very delicate, far from being ostentatious but with a brilliant. Sitting beautifully in a circle of detailed millgrain. The pendant is a fine mix of an overall contemporary look and the traditional details.
The wrapping and boxing is also wonderfully matching with the necklace: soft silver tone box with a champagne coloured ribbon – very pretty indeed.
About the crafting process
Because the items are handmade to order, it takes about 3 weeks to the designer jeweller Nikki Galloway to complete each fine piece of jewellery. It seems like a lenghty process – but this is what it takes to make this beautiful pendant. Nikki shared some photos with me about it, which I’m happy to share, so you can see how they are being made. Just wow!
