Everything You Need To Know Before You Visit the Land Down Under
If you want to travel to Australia then you will probably already know what a wonderful place it is. It is full of things to do and things to see, not to mention that there is always something new around the corner. The land of surprises really does have so much to offer, so if you are thinking about taking a trip there or if you want to see the outback and kickboxing kangaroos then you’re really in for a treat.
Sunblock is Your Friend
There is absolutely no doubt about this. If you want to go to the beach then you will want to put on plenty of suntan lotion. The sun in Australia is harsh to say the least and there is no ozone layer either. Australian rays are very harmful to your skin, and if you don’t cover yourself in sunscreen then you’ll soon be smelling like bacon. It also helps to keep your skin covered and it may even be a good idea for you to wear a hat as well because when you do this, you can easily protect yourself while avoiding that horrible, blistering sunburn.
Summer Can Vary on Your Location
Summer can vary depending on where you travel. For example, Perth has very dry summers and Brisbane is known for having very humid summers. Darwin essentially has a summer that lasts all year, so when you hop between cities, you may even feel like you are travelling between different countries. If you want to see everything that Australia has to offer then why not consider going on a charity drive? It’s all for a good cause and there are plenty around Australia.
Wildlife Isn’t Everywhere
The legendary Steve Irwin may make it feel like, at times, animals are everywhere. He could pick up a rock and find a red-bellied black snake without having to move more than a couple of meters away from his house. The main thing that you have to remember here is that Australia isn’t all about kangaroos and koalas. If you want to see some of these creatures you’ll have to go and visit a zoo, or some of the many wildlife attractions in the area. It’s also possible for you to go on a safari as well.
It’s Really Expensive if You Smoke
Smoking is a life-choice, but in Australia it’s not cheap. There is a legislation that could cost you $40 for a single pack of cigarettes and this isn’t something that you’ll want to pay if you smoke a pack a day. The cigarette packets there also have very gruesome pictures as well, to try and deter people from picking up the habit. So if you want to really save money, try and take a vape pen with you or take a supply of cigarettes that will last you for at least a duration of your trip. Your wallet will thank you and it is a great way for you to try and save money when you’re there.
