I have received the roller blind in exchange for my honest review.
Probably every parent of young children has same love and hate relationship with the gorgeous late spring and summer evenings: they are balmy, everything soaks in the gorgeous evening lights and it’s still light outside even at nearly 9pm. But there’s one thing we don’t like about it, which could easily ruin the evening (and often the next day): the children doesn’t want to go to bed because it’s still light outside. So they fight their way through the bath and bed time routine, end up overtired and grotty the next day because they didn’t get enough sleep. And it’s just exhausting to fight this fight evening after evening. They are little, it’s pretty hard to reason with a 3 and 5 years olds. This is was the case with us, until now. I bought black out curtains – waste of money but at least they look cute. Because we haven’t got standard sized windows and tills, our only option was going with measure made roller blinds.
Luckily, Make My Blinds roller blinds came to save our sanity. It works super simple. You take the measurements (there’s different ways to measure) add them to your order and your blinds arrive a few days later so all you need to do is fitting them.
Now, we’re not very good at DIY things, so we got our usual handy man in to fit the blinds, it took him about 25 minutes, literally. It fits perfectly and it does its job: blacking out the light. It’s hard to take photos when the light is blocked out, but this photo was taken in the early afternoon and I had to add some light to them otherwise it’s too dark for the camera:
And these two are kind of showing the difference again:
They offer 4 years guarantee on the blinds and this one is wipe clean – which is another plus with us. There are a lot of colours to choose from, and you can determinate which side you do you want to have the control option. If you want to fit it by yourself it’s perfectly doable – you can also find videos on the site explaining how to do that.
