Some gifted items.
One of my favourite thing about my blog is that I have this massive opportunity to make a difference. I use my blog to spread the word and make people aware of ethical and green issues. I find that the best way is to do this by introducing other eco-friendly options, that are positive choices for people and planet. We don’t have to accept and buy the goods big labels and glossy adverts are trying to sell us. Money is a vote which you can use every time you go shopping. By using your spending power wisely you can help to create a better, healthier and greener world.
With that in mind, the idea to create a new monthly review series called “My Ethical And Green Picks Of The Month” was born. The posts are to introduce all the small shops and indie brands which produce and sells ethically produced, eco-friendly, organic, natural, cruelty – free and fairly traded goods, that are alternatives to everyday items such as fast fashion, processed food, cosmetics and cleaners containing toxins and harmful chemicals.
Children’s Shared Wardrobe
Clothes rental or shared wardrobes are a great way to help reduce the environmental impact of clothes by increasing their garments’ life cycle. With 122 Frugi styles available at The Little Loop, parents can sign up for a subscription to rent a bundle of clothes that fit their children during that time. Then, once outgrown or longer wanted, they can be returned and swapped for new styles. By swapping clothes instead of buying a massive £900 per child can be saved every year!
You can
- have beautiful, sustainably and ethically produced garments for your children, mostly made of organic cotton
- save lots of money
- help the environment
- fight fast fashion
- never worry about where and how to source new sizes on time
Carbon emissions from clothing must be halved if we’re to limit global warming to 1.5’C. This can’t be done if we don’t vastly increase the life cycle of every garment and renting does just that, significantly reducing its environmental impact.

Green & Spring is a collection of skin and body care products inspired by the British countryside. Each product is created by hand from plants and flowers native to the British Isles, and produced here in Britain.
As a company, they do use plastic in some of their packaging but it’s 100% PCR recycled plastic (that’s been saved from rivers, seas and not going into landfill) and they’re one of the first beauty companies to use this material as often it’s only 20-50% recycled plastic.
The candle and diffuser vessels have hand-painted flowing ink work, making each one unique. They use 100% natural ingredients, which are blended by hand with a generous concentration of organic essential oils.

Book For Children Who Worry
A beautifully illustrated picture book about overcoming anxiety for young children to share with a parent, teacher or mental health professional. A lovely, gentle story about conquering worries that any child will love, but particularly those who are in need a little bit of reassurance.
Author Katie O’Donoghue wrote and illustrated The Little Squirrel Who Worried while working for the Children’s Emotional Wellbeing Mental Health Service NHS last year during Covid 19. The book was created specifically to address cases of anxiety that she was seeing among young people every day.
A gorgeous gift for children who love to be read to and who love animals.
