Problematic skin
All my life I battled with some sort of a skin problem. I always have had spots on my face, even into adulthood. I never got to the bottom of the reasons why, because it’s not that bad. But, I sport a pimple or rather two all the time. Especially after being pregnant and breastfeeding, I can see how my skin changed for the worse. Also, my lifestyle doesn’t help either: although I am doing my best eating healthy and drinking plenty, I’m still sleep deprived, often stressed and I drink way too much coffee. I admit, I’m quite lazy with my beauty routine lately, but I’m just too tired in the evenings (well, mornings too) to maintain a 20-25 minutes routine. I just don’t have the time for that. So I’ve been thinking about to use special products for this problem for a while but I always had the impression of the special acne prone skin products being too harsh for my skin.
Natural Dermatology Day Moisturiser
Luckily I’ve just been introduced to Natural Dermatology products and they kindly sent me a day moisturiser to test and review. As you know, I’m all in for natural cosmetics, because I believe harsh chemicals are bad for us. Organic and natural products work for me, they contain no toxics and they are not tested on animals (because there’s no need for it. A human can test them too). This face cream contains avocado, safflower and German chamomile extract, hence the lovely mint green colour. It’s a very light cream and it’s very easy to apply with the pump. I used it for about 3-4 weeks now and I like it. Initially it gave me a little rash on the dry areas on my face but they were gone in 3 days. My skin can be be quite sensitive, so I was expecting this, normally happens with all new facial products. Using it for a few weeks now it does make a difference and I can see less new spots on my usual jawline area. (These are a nightmare to clear, it takes a long time to heal.) I miss an SPF only.
My favourite things about it:
- leaves no greasy feeling
- it didn’t make my skin feel dry either
- absorbs quickly
- can use it under my foundation
- cruelty-free
