Gifted items

We’ve loved Orchard Toys for a while. There’s plenty of reasons to love them. They are good fun, clever and educational, practically plastic-free and they don’t cost the Earth! They make a fantastic birthday gift too, I bought them on so many occasions for my children’s classmates and friends to gift them on birthdays. A new service is also available to complete the birthday gift: simply print out one of the birthday card designs that are now available to download and colour it. Perfect for helping to celebrate a special birthday while in lockdown. It might be hard to get to the shops to buy cards, so this is a great activity to do at home and a chance to personalise your card.

We’ve received this bundle of games which are perfect for family entertainment during the lockdown. The children enjoyed a whole long Sunday afternoon playing with them – and there’s many more to come. These are a selection that fits for both of them. They are 4 and 6 so they now can play together, follow the rules and we giggled a lot.

My little girl’s favourite was the Rainbow Unicorns and my boy found the Smelly Wellies hilarious. The games have all the fun factor little kids like.  But they are also educational which is why I like them. Encouraging counting, colour coding, learning letters and spelling whilst playing.

And of course the fact what are they made of and how. They still design, produce and pack all the toys from the market town of Wymondham in Norfolk. They are excellent quality and durable, timeless and can be passed down and on many times before they worn out. The majority of the games and puzzles are completely plastic free. Orchard Toys offers a Free Parts Replacement Service, which allows customers to receive free replacement pieces for their games. All they ask for is to make a small donation to their nominated charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices in exchange, if you can. I don’t know any other toy makers who offer this service and it definitely saves games being thrown away because an important piece gone missing.
