6 Ways To Play Yourself Fit This Summer

Getting fit is boring when you have to drag yourself to the gym every morning at 5am for that fasted cardio session and weights. A lot of us hate the thought of spending hours in the gym and working out, and many people just simply don’t bother because it’s just too hard. However the good thing is, you can make the most of the summer season and make your exercise routine much more fun. All you need is some childhood toys, a sunny day and you are in business!

Trampolining

Most family homes will have a Trampoline in the backyard, and although this might seem like just another way to entertain the kids- it can actually be a really fun way to workout and get yourself lean. Next time it is sunny outside take to them trampoline and bounce around for 20-30 minutes. It is an intense form of cardio which will get your heart beating fast and melt those calories off.

The hula hoop is one of the most popular toys for children all over the world. It is a toy which anyone can learn how to use and it is a great way to workout the core. By using a hula hoop for just 30 minutes a few times a week you will be strengthening your abs, obliques and gluteus and saying goodbye to your love handles!

Jump rope

Skipping rope is actually a game used very often for athletes such as boxers because it is an intense cardio workout which gets the heart beating fast and burn calories very quickly. If you can get hold of a jump rope and jump for 20 minutes every few days you will feel much healthier and leaner as a consequence. It is a fun activity which you can do as intensely or slowly as you can manage.

Frisbee

The frisbee is one of those items which always ends up in our rucksack for family outings and will always be played with on the beach or in the countryside. The simple act of playing catch with any object is a great workout because it uses your arms to throw, your whole body to run and then catch the item. It is the sort of activity that you could play for hours and not even realise that to are burning fat.

Swimming

If the day is hot enough in the summertime the best thing you can do is go out to the beach and swim in the sea! You don’t have to swim laps like an Olympic athlete either. You can play catch, splash water at each other and generally have some fun in the water. The bonus is that you will stay cool underneath the intense heat of the sun too.

Climb

Kids love nothing more than to climb every available tree, and you should be no different! Climbing is a fun way to okay around but it is also an amazing way to build strength throughout your entire body. Next time you see a big tree, don’t hesitate to climb it and see what’s at the top.
