This is a collaborative post.
We’re all guilty of having a list of things to do that we simply never get around to completing. This is pretty standard. They tend to be non-pressing issues. Things that have no manner of urgency surrounding them. But you do need to face them at some point or another and, as with most things, it’s best to tackle these to-do’s head on, rather than allowing them to sit incomplete for the foreseeable future. So, why not dedicate a day on an upcoming weekend to completing some of those tasks? Here are some suggestions that can prove more than worth the effort!
Deep Cleaning
We all keep on top of regular chores around the house. Washing up after meals and wiping down kitchen countertops. Vacuuming carpets and mopping and sweeping floors. Cleaning the toilet and cleaning down shower panes. This is all good and well. But there are other, smaller tasks that we tend to neglect over time. Why not schedule some deep cleaning to really get down to the nitty gritty of your housework? This could range from hiring a carpet cleaning machine to pull dirt from your carpet pile to wiping down skirting boards, cleaning the inside of the oven, removing and cleaning your extractor fan, upholstery cleaning and more.
Scheduling Routine Appointments
We all need to attend certain health appointments on a routine basis. Make sure to schedule them in. You can often do this well ahead of time and ask to receive a text, call or email reminder to remind you closer to the time. Check in with your dentist, optician or your doctor if you need to schedule cervical screening, prostate checks, flu vaccines or anything else. If you are looking for a dental check up just search for dentist York.
Updating Software
How many times have you been offered a software update on your mobile, tablet or laptop, only to press “Remind me later”? We’re all guilty of this, but software updates are important. They ensure you’re getting the best user experience, as well as the best protection and security. While you’re at this, you can also look into how to remove malware from Mac and installing firewall if necessary.
Gardening
Summer is approaching, so you should look into giving your garden some TLC if you have one. This can mean mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, digging up flowerbeds, planting in-season seeds and other basic tasks to keep the space neat, clean and tidy. You may want to go further and look into creating hanging baskets or other gardening tasks that can create a presentable and beautiful space. If you don’t have the time or tools to do this, you can always simply take this opportunity to contact a gardener who can take the hard work off your hands.
Tax Return
We tend to leave our tax returns to the last minute. But this really doesn’t need to be the case. Instead, you can prepare your tax return or even file your tax return well ahead of deadline. This can save stress closer to the due date and can also open up the support you need as and when you need it, as accountants won’t be so booked up.
These are just a few examples. All might not be applicable to you, but chances are, one or two will be!
