I received 6 hours general cleaning in exchange for my review.
I really don’t have the time for all the tiding up and cleaning jobs in my home – especially not to the standards I’d like it. It’s not an excuse – although I think no one should feel apologetic about not having time for everything – and I’m also happy to admit: I absolutely hate house jobs. All of them. I do it, because I must, but I hate it. I’m ok with vacuuming and tiding up the kitchen (that is sort of my territory anyway, so things are likely to stay as I leave them) but the rest is just a major drag. The other thing is living with two small children means a LOT of cleaning and tiding. By the time I’m finished with the daily laundry, hanging the washing, folding the clothes away, filling and emptying the dishwasher, making the beds, cooking dinner, picking up clothes, toys, empty cups from every corner of our home – I just feel like I’ve already reached my limit. So when it comes to do the extras weekly or in every two weeks it is an big effort for me. But then again, I like a clean and tidy house.
So I came to the conclusion that probably having a cleaner is inevitable, especially now that I work from home in full time. When looking for a cleaner most of us all rely on personal recommendation from someone we know – that’s the way it is. But I also have two more criterias: one is that my cleaner has to use my own, eco-friendly cleaning products and the other one is that I don’t employ people who avoid paying their taxes. Which is…well… sometimes the case with cleaners.
This week, Fantastic Services gifted me with 6 hours one-off cleaning and I asked them to concentrate on the kitchen, the bathroom and the living room. They were very efficient and because they have some time left they asked if they do anything else too. I thought that is pretty impressive. I was very happy with their service. Another thing which I liked is, that you can book them online: check the prices and availability straight on their webpage. If you join the FantasticClub scheme you will also get discounted rates. The rates I also very reasonable (it is not about the race to the bottom. It is about providing people with decent wage so they can make living and pay their taxes).
