To be fair, it’s not much of a recipe, rather just an idea to share. My boy is on a restricted diet, which is beyond being a picky eater. He has sensory issues with food, with lots of food groups. Therefore he’s almost exclusively on a diet consisting of pizza, pasta with tomato sauce, cheese and cereal. On good days he eats the ham hidden between the cheese slices in his sandwich and drinks some smoothies. That’s not much to work with when you’re trying to feed him with healthy food. So I try everything to sneak some extra goodness …

Yummiest Superfood Salad Recipe With Indigo Herbs Giveaway
After a bit of thinking, this is the best title I could have thought of. Yup. There’s so much goodness in this salad, that they won’t all fit in the title line. I think I mentioned this before, that my favourite salads are all a combination of both vegetables and fruits. The fruit always add a twist, a sweet kick to the dish. I love coming up with new and unusual combinations and keep varying my favourite, wholesome ingredients. My favourite supplier for healthy and organic ingredients is Indigo Herbs Of Glastonbury and I discovered them last year (read about it …
Chocolate Ice Cream With Macabella And Yogurt
I do like a summer treat, especially chocolate ice cream. Well, not only in summer. Anytime. But it has to be chocolate ice cream. Just like with any other desserts, I’m quite picky: sugary lemon and vanilla flavours just won’t do it for me. Making ice cream at home is not too complicated and it can be prepared without a machine, which I always prefer as assembling, cleaning then putting away again takes up some extra time. This one is a no cook and no churn recipe, practically effortless thanks to the ingredients. There aren’t too many of those either. Wait, …
Kid’s Risotto With Salmon, Courgette And Lots Of Cheese
One of the my little guy’s tolerated (i.e. cooked until it’s unrecognisable and well hidden under mountains of cheese) vegetables is courgette. Probably, because it’s a little tasteless. Therefore, I try to use it whenever I can. It can go into a lot of different dishes, including risotto. The other evening, when I was desperate to find a way to make him to eat some salmon (which is an absolute no-no) came up with this recipe. The creamy, cheesy rice is always a winner with children, so might as well try to add some extra, healthy stuff to it. It …
Smoked Salmon Carpaccio With Dijon Potato And Cucumber Salad
This was a treat meal for my hubby as he loves smoked salmon. I wanted to make something light and summery but still a full meal at the same time. A healthy manly meal 🙂 It’s very easy and quick to prepare. The whole trick is to use a lot of herbs and the strong flavour of dijon mustard. The unusual combination of the raw, smoked salmon paired with steamed and fresh vegetables, does work very well. The cream cheese topping on the salmon softens the dijon mustard’s bite. It makes a perfect midweek dinner, so easy and quick. Yield: serves 2 …
We all know, just how bad refined sugar is for us. If you ever tried to cut down on your sugar intake, you know how hard it can be. Low-sugar and “sugar-free” substitutes are not healthy either (and they taste terrible). Dried fruits are great to satisfy your sugar craving. They are full of fibre, and antioxidants (especially figs and prunes), and they taste divine. However, it’s easy to overeat them and they contain the same (naturally occurring) sugar as the fresh fruit itself, but concentrated. Use them as a natural sweetener. These raw mini energy bars also contain nuts …
