This is a collaborative post.
If you have found yourself entering 2020 with a mindset of getting a little more healthy, then welcome aboard. It seems that over the last 2-3 years, there have been millions of people that have found inspiration to get up and start to get healthy.
Today, we are going to be looking at some of the best changes you can make this year that can really transform your whole body inside and out. We are going to keep our post as simple as possible and hopefully help out a few beginners out there.
Why Now?
Well, it seems that over the last few years a lot of people have realised that there is so much more to be gained from living a healthier lifestyle than just a tight body. In fact, it has become common knowledge that exercise improves body, heart and even mental health, so who wouldn’t want to improve all of these.
Taking all of this into account, and all of the fitness influencers that are popping up everywhere you look, it has never been easier than it is now to get up and make some changes to your life.
Cut The Rubbish
If you are really serious about making some changes, then you should be looking at cutting out all of the rubbish from your life. While it may seem like a rather big step, there is nothing more important on your journey to taking care of your body.
You should first be looking at diet; you can cut out all of the processed food and junk, also if possible, reduce sugars where you can. By simply doing this, you will be giving your body a fresh start. If you find yourself craving any of these things, then replace your processed meats with Quorn substitutes for protein and feel free to make some guilt-free brownies too.
The second thing you should be eradicating is heavy toxins, mainly tobacco. We know it may be hard to kick the habit, so you should look for something like e-cigarettes to remove the cravings. When choosing an e-cigarette, you should be looking at only reputable brands like Smoko’s Menthol e-cigarettes. By keeping to a reputable brand, you will find that you kick the habit easier and you know what you are getting.
Do A Little Exercise
Now, when you are first starting your journey into fitness, you do not need to head out and join a gym. Although this is something people tend to do in the new year, it really is not needed in the beginning.
To start with, you should be trying to find a small exercise routine that you can do in the comfort of your own home. If you find that this is sustainable for 4-6 months and you are starting to enjoy things, then maybe then you could join a gym.
You should begin your fitness routines with 10-12 minutes of bodyweight exercise and then 20 minutes of cardio. You can do this 2-3 times per week, and within 12 weeks you will feel amazing.
