A Must-Have For Little Globetrotters: Trunki Review and Giveaway

We love to travel and we usually take 2-3 longer and another 2-3 shorter holidays each year – this is now changing a bit as we’re restricted to term time only travel, but we’re not willing to give up on travel! We share our love for travel with my husband and we’re hoping that the children will grow up to be a citizen of the world, being familiar and respecting other cultures, the way people live and that they ultimately will be able to see the bigger picture: that we are all the same, we are all humans. Travel is incredibly important for our little Bobcat, as from very early age he got used to it: now he’s very good at getting used to new places and I am convinced, that it’s a perfect and gently way to stretch his boundaries and help him to develop important life skills in situ. A lot of people with Autism doesn’t like travel, because it turns their routine upside down and they don’t know what to expect. But in my view, if they get used to it from early age, travelling is a good tool to help their development. (This might not be true for every child, but it’s definitely the case for us.)

One of his favourite thing on our travels has been his Trunki over the past year. We found it very useful to get him sit on it and be still when he really needs to be. You see, he’s still very impulsive and often runs off if he sees something interesting. But his Trunki has been a great help to keep him still.

And now, Trunki kindly sent us a little suitcase for Lau too along with some other accessories: a little backpack, a lunch bag, lunch boxes and a cup – which are very useful to take them to her nursery. (And also for day trips!) I let her choose her the pieces you like from the Trunki website, and she chose everything in her favourite colour: pink. She’s going through loving all things princess pink period, against all my efforts – but if that’s what she likes, then that’s what she gets. She also chose a Una the unicorn Trunki – well of course. 

I was really impressed with the design, and so was she! The stickers are such a fantastic idea to decorate the Trunki, she really enjoyed creating her own design. My favourite thing about it has to be the pastel rainbow tail of the unicorn.
